Bethany Jantzi, MSc

Bethany Jantzi, MSc

Bethany Jantzi, MSc, is a cult and coercive control specialist working one-to-one with survivors and family members affected by high-control relationships and groups. She provides coercive control assessments and prepares professional affidavits to support legal, clinical, and advocacy processes.

She holds a Master of Science in the Psychology of Coercive Control from the University of Salford. Her academic research examined high-control groups and the weaponisation of religious texts as a mechanism of coercive control against women.

Her professional interests include trauma-bonding and coerced attachment, adult clergy sexual abuse, and the psychological dynamics that sustain control, compliance, and harm in abusive systems. She is committed to helping individuals understand these mechanisms and to supporting the fundamental right to live free from coercion, abuse, and domination.

Bethany is a mental health professional with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP) and is currently in the registration process with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
