Dennis Gates

Dennis Gates is a retired lawyer who practiced in suburban New Zealand, where his work centered on general domestic matters. He is currently completing a Master’s degree; his dissertation will examine the structures and tactics employed by closed communities to maintain and control those communities. He appeared as co-counsel in the two New Zealand cases Pilgrim and Courage. Though no longer in practice, he provides indirect support to the legal team continuing to litigate the Gloriavale cases.
