J. Paul Lennon is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a member of ReGAIN (Religious Groups Awareness International Network), an organization focused on monitoring and addressing harmful dynamics within mainstream churches and religious groups.
Irish-born, Lennon has lived and worked across Spain, Italy, Mexico, the United States, and Guatemala. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and currently resides in Guatemala, where he provides counseling services remotely via WhatsApp, Zoom, and email.
A former member and priest of the Legionaries of Christ—an organization he identifies as exhibiting cult-like characteristics—Lennon brings both professional expertise and lived experience to his work. He trained as a Child and Family Therapist in Washington, DC and Virginia and spent over thirteen years living in Mexico.
Lennon has presented at International Cultic Studies Association (ICSA) conferences and has been published in ICSA Today.
